Cooling & comfort: HVAC tempering

Stabilize comfort bands and trim AC peaks with mid-temperature PCMs. Plentigrade covers ~11–35 °C for building tempering, plant-room buffering and gentle process cooling.

Operating temperatures & duty

Typical plateaux: ~11 °C °C

Duty: partial cycling around comfort or process set-points, night-charge and day discharge where useful

Where it helps

AC peak trimming and load shifting in commercial buildings

Reduce cooling energy demand and shift peak loads in buildings and HVAC systems.

Plant rooms, Data centres and CRAC units that short cycle in warm weather

Electronics and light process spaces needing gentle temperature buffering

Target temperatures Best-fit PCM Typical charge sources
~11 °C P11 (Organic, evaluation) Chiller loop set below 9 °C

How do I pick the right PCM?

Select a PCM with a tight melting/freezing temperature range that matches your critical process tolerance, and always include a safety margin of at least 10-20% extra mass to account for real-world inefficiencies and potential peak loads. We can provide a quick PCM vs glycol system comparison.
