Sunamp and Haier HVAC EU announce seamless integration of Thermino xPlus heat batteries with Haier R290 Monobloc GT heat pump series

Sunamp, a world leader in thermal storage technology, today announced the integration of its Thermino xPlus heat batteries with the Haier R290 Super Aqua Monobloc heat pump range, enabled by the Optimino® key technology. This collaboration brings a new level of simplicity, efficiency, and reliability to low-carbon heating and hot water systems.

The Optimino key enables a seamless communication channel between Sunamp’s Thermino xPlus and Haier’s R290 heat pump, allowing installers and specifiers to deliver optimised, plug-and-play solutions with confidence. For homeowners, this means faster installation, reduced system complexity, and consistent access to space heating and hot water with improved energy efficiency.

“This collaboration shows how easily we can transition to low-carbon heating,” said Lukas Bergmann, head of product management at Sunamp. “By integrating our Thermino xPlus heat batteries with Haier’s high-efficiency R290 heat pump through the Optimino key, we’re cutting installation time, simplifying system design, and giving homeowners a reliable, sustainable solution that reduces energy bills and carbon emissions.”

Haier also highlighted the shared value of the partnership. “At Haier, high quality and practicality are at the heart of what we do” said Richard Sherlock, Heat Pump product manager at Haier. “It is fantastic to be working with Sunamp, this partnership means we can present an integrated package to both Installers and Specifiers. Homeowners can enjoy futureproof, efficient and sustainable space and water heating.”

The Sunamp x Haier collaboration ensures that installers can confidently recommend a proven, integrated package, specifiers can design with simplicity and certainty, and homeowners gain a future-proof solution that delivers on performance, carbon savings, and comfort.

Maurizio Zaglio, global head of partnerships at Sunamp, said: “This is another great example of the impact that our Optimino technology is having on enabling renewables, particularly in homes and buildings where space is tight. We have pent up demand in the market for this particular integration of Thermino xPlus heat batteries with Haier’s R290 heat pumps, so this is great news for those countries where both products are available.”
