The batteries can be filled with different PCM formulations to suit cooling and freezing temperature applications.

Permafrost thermal batteries are designed to integrate with heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) equipment, and can be charged from a wide choice of energy sources including process and waste cooling, cooling networks and chillers powered by renewables.
Modular and scalable, Permafrost batteries can be connected in series or in parallel to increase cooling storage capacity and resilience needed by commercial buildings, agricultural processes, cooling networks, and industrial-scale systems.
