Central Bank Mini (P58) is a compact, next generation thermal battery engineered to store and deliver heat with exceptional efficiency and high thermal power using Sunamp’s patented Plentigrade® P58 phase change material.  The Central Bank Mini (P58) can store heat from waste heat capture, boilers, and heat pumps at up to 80ºC and releases it at circa 53ºC, ideal for heating and low temperature hot water processes.

Central Bank Mini (P58) has a compact footprint of just 1.2 m × 1.0 m × 1.47 m, making it up to three times smaller than an equivalent hot water thermal store.

Heat loss of around 3 kWh per 24 hours (ΔT 45ºC) dramatically improves energy efficiency and reduces operating costs. 

Maintenance free operation

No mandatory annual inspections or servicing, unlike water based thermal stores subject to pressure vessel regulations. Only connected auxiliary equipment requires standard maintenance.

In Kitakyushu City, Japan, IHI Corporation demonstrated waste heat recovery using Sunamp Central Bank Mini by capturing surplus heat from Shabondama Soap Co., Ltd and sending it through a 70-metre underground pipe to Hirota Chemical Industry Co. to warm chemical drums. IHI’s evaluation showed strong results, including around a 30% reduction in initial equipment costs versus pre-trial estimates and CO₂ payback in under one year.
